Plero
For boards & CFOs

Fiduciary-grade permanence, without the overhead.

Plero gives your board an endowment that’s owned by your institution, held at a regulated custodian, and governed on the record — run for you, decided by you.

How it runs

Your board decides. Plero does the rest.

Step 1

You set the policy

Allocation, investment mandate, and distribution rate are approved by your board — and changed only by a vote.

Step 2

Plero runs the mechanics

Custody, investment to your policy, distributions, and a permanent audit trail — without adding staff.

Step 3

A steady annual draw

A board-approved distribution on a trailing average returns to operations each year — while preserving the fund for the long term.

Set once, changed only by vote Every decision on record Prudent draw preserves the fund

Plero empowers you to create a new major donor who never leaves.

Built for fiduciaries
Owned by your institution Held at Charles Schwab, Member SIPC Every decision on record SEC-registered advisors
Committee diligence

Every answer your finance committee will ask for.

Fund ownership

Titled to your institution. Plero administers it, never owns it, and it never sits on Plero’s balance sheet.

Governance

Your board approves the allocation, investment, and spending policies. Changes require a board vote and are recorded.

Custody

Held at Charles Schwab & Co., Member SIPC, under your own title — never commingled with other organizations or with Plero.

Investment

Managed to your board’s policy by SEC-registered advisors, reviewed on your schedule. Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal.

Distributions & liquidity

A board-approved draw — commonly a percentage of a trailing average — returns to operations on your schedule, while preserving the fund for the long term.

Accounting

Maintained as a permanent fund in your name; statements are exportable for your books and audit.

Audit trail

Policies, votes, signers, and transfers are captured on a permanent, exportable record.

Fees

Administration and investment-management fees are disclosed in writing before you begin — see Form CRS and ADV Part 2A.

Implementation

Setup depends on your giving stack and processor, confirmed during onboarding. Typical path: discovery → board policy → account opening → live allocation.

Continuity & termination

No lock-in. Because assets sit in your name at the custodian, if Plero ends you administer or move the fund independently, and records export anytime.
