Plero
Security & Trust

Your fund is protected by design.

Plero runs the mechanics, but never holds your money. The fund is owned by your organization, held at a regulated custodian, governed by your board, and yours to keep if we ever go away.

The four protections

Four safeguards, on every fund.

You own it, always

The endowment is legally your organization’s — held under your own title. Plero administers it and never owns it, and it never sits on our balance sheet.

Regulated custody

Assets are held at Charles Schwab & Co., Member SIPC — never commingled with other organizations, and never with Plero.

Board-set governance

Allocation, investment policy, and distributions are approved by your board and recorded — a permanent, auditable trail. Investments are managed by SEC-registered advisors.

No lock-in

Because the assets are held in your name at the custodian, your fund doesn’t depend on us. If Plero ever closes, it stays exactly where it is — yours.

The facts

Where the money actually sits.

The specifics a finance committee should be able to confirm in writing.

SIPC protects against the loss of cash and securities held by a customer at a financially troubled brokerage firm; it does not protect against a decline in the market value of investments.
